Equestrian Events, Inc. has partnered with Split Rock Jumping Tour to produce the $225,000 Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute on Saturday night of the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI) is a non-profit, charitable organization that supports the development of equestrian sports through the staging of events at the highest level. EEI seeks to provide development opportunities for riders, horses and equine organizations, and to elevate the competitiveness of the United States internationally.
The Kentucky Three-Day Event is the largest annual equine competition held at the Kentucky Horse Park. One of only six three-day events in the world that are ranked at the highest level, four stars (CCI****), it is the first three-day eventing competition of the year on the international calendar. The Kentucky Three-Day Event is held each year during the last weekend of April. See the Calendar of Events for current information.
Joseph Fennell, of Cynthiana, Ky, is credited with
inventing the modern horse boot.
He patented the scalper and speedy cut back in 1876,
as well as the hinged quarter boot in 1883;
devices still in use today.
His son, Robert Emmett Fennell established
R.E. Fennell Company, in 1909.
For going on 110 years, R.E. Fennell has been
the name in tack and supplies.

Old Friends provides a dignified retirement to Thoroughbreds whose racing and breeding careers have come to an end. By promoting these one-time celebrated horses through a campaign of education and tourism, we hope to raise awareness of all equines in need.
In 1937 Mr. Pinkston bought The Pinkston Shop, at the corner of Short and Broadway Streets in Lexington, Kentucky. The shop was a general repair and hardware store. He renamed the shop Pinkston's Turf Goods and opened a harness shop in the back of the store. In 1945 his son-in-law, Paul Ladd, Sr. began running the harness shop.
